About the role

In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with our Senior Baker to produce high-quality breads and seasonal baked goods that meet our exacting standards of consistency, creativity, and quality. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills within a collaborative, supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and bake breads and other baked goods following established recipes and techniques
• Assist with proofing, shaping, and baking of doughs as instructed
• Accurately measure ingredients and follow production guidelines
• Maintain consistency in product quality, portion size, and presentation

About you

• Previous experience in mixing, baking & shaping
• Ability to work early mornings and follow production schedules
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative kitchen environment
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills, loves great coffee:)

This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role within our hospitality operation. As Venue 2IC, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our venue, supporting the Venue Manager and leading our service team to deliver exceptional experiences for our guests. Your strategic importance lies in maintaining operational excellence, upholding our service standards, and fostering a positive, collaborative team environment that reflects our commitment to hospitality excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting the Venue Manager in overseeing all aspects of daily venue operations
• Leading and supervising waiting staff and service team members during shifts
• Ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality service in line with Seven Seeds standards
• Managing guest interactions, addressing concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Training and mentoring service staff on menu knowledge, service techniques and hospitality standards
• Monitoring stock levels and placing orders for beverages, food supplies and service materials
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of service areas, dining spaces and back-of-house facilities
• Assisting with scheduling, roster management and staff coordination
• Handling cash and payment processing accurately and securely
• Responding to operational issues promptly and implementing solutions
• Maintaining compliance with health, safety and licensing requirements
